Those are about who builds the product. This section is about bringing engineering judgement to a problem you already own, whether that is a design, a failing integration or a certification route.
Do we have to buy hardware from RIOD?
No. Integration, testing and certification support are delivered against whatever hardware and platform you are running, including equipment we did not build.
Why does building both chargers and backends matter here?
Because an integration failure can be read from either end. Most disputes between a charger vendor and a platform vendor end when someone produces the message trace, and owning both sides means that trace is available rather than requested.
