Single phase constraints
Most residential supplies are single phase, which caps the charging rate and makes supply headroom the binding constraint. Where the house also runs an electric shower, oven and heat pump, the charger cannot assume the full supply is available.
This is why load management belongs in a home charger rather than being treated as a commercial feature.
Consumer expectations
- It should work when plugged in, with no app required for the basic case
- Status should be legible at a glance, in daylight and in the dark
- Recovery from a fault should be automatic where it is safe to be
- Scheduling and tariff awareness should be simple to set and hard to break
Installer reality
The unit is fitted once, often outdoors, by an electrician who has other jobs that day. Mounting, cable entry, commissioning and connectivity setup all need to be quick and difficult to do incorrectly. A design that assumes a careful installer will produce a field failure rate that looks like a product defect.
Designed for years unattended
Ingress protection, UV exposure, thermal cycling, connector wear and contactor endurance all matter more here than in a monitored commercial installation, because early symptoms go unwatched. The first sign of a problem is usually a customer whose car did not charge overnight.
Connectivity in a house
Home Wi-Fi at the edge of range, behind a wall, in a garage. Bearer selection and antenna design are validated against that rather than against a bench. A charger that needs strong Wi-Fi to function has a support cost attached.
Where these units actually get used
The 7.4 kW single-phase unit is the volume product in AC charging, and the reason is not that it is cheap. It is that it matches how cars are actually parked.
Apartments show the highest utilisation of any AC site we operate, and it concentrates overnight, which is exactly when the building is least able to take the load. That combination is what makes the feature set matter more than the power rating. Scheduling that keeps charging out of an evening peak, and local operation that survives a basement with no mobile signal, decide whether an installation works. A higher power rating does not.
Field failures on our AC fleet run at roughly 0.5 percent, about one unit in two hundred, and every unit is functionally tested before it ships.
How we work with you on this
Most of the value in a 7.4 kW programme is not in the unit, it is in whether it suits the sites your customers actually have. We would rather work through that with you before an order than optimise a specification afterwards.
If your deployments are apartments and workplaces, the questions that matter are scheduling and offline operation, not power. Our engineers will go through your actual site conditions with your team, and where the answer is that a simpler product serves you, we will say so.
What owning the whole stack changes
Most charger suppliers own one layer and integrate the rest. It is invisible when things work and decisive when they do not.
Hardware, firmware, cloud, AI and operations are all ours. When a fault appears in your fleet we do not have the option of saying our part is fine, because every part is ours. We analyse it and come back with an answer, including when the answer is that it was us.
The same thing applies to features. A requirement that crosses hardware and platform is a conversation inside one team here, rather than a negotiation between three suppliers who each own a layer and none of the responsibility.
White label without the lock-in
White labelling usually means your brand on another company's product, running on their platform, with your data in their system. We do the first part and not the other two.

- Endpoints configurable, so the charger points at whatever server you choose, including one that is not ours
- Your data is yours
- Custom features developed against your requirement rather than requested from a roadmap
A charger you cannot point somewhere else is a charger your supplier controls. We are explicit about this because we resold a shared platform once and learned what it costs when a change finally becomes unavoidable.
Made in India, and the path beyond supply
The platform is manufactured in India and has been through Indian certification, and it is exported from here.
If you eventually want to build it in your own market rather than buy it from ours, that is a path we have completed rather than one we describe. Manufacturisation and technology transfer take the same product from OEM supply, through SKD and CKD, to you building it locally. Most buyers start by purchasing units, and the ones who intend to go further should say so at the start, because it changes what we design for.

Why 7.4 kW specifically?
It is the practical single phase maximum in most residential supplies. Higher rates generally require three phase, which most homes do not have.
Does a home charger need load management?
Usually yes. Where the supply also serves heating, cooking and other high draw appliances, the charger cannot assume full capacity is available.
Does it need an app?
The basic case should work without one. An app that is mandatory for charging becomes a support cost and a point of failure.
